Ambigrams - have you heard of them ?

Though technology has got nothing to do with this, I couldn't resist myself posting about this in TECHTOLA. Its one of those things in life which makes us to stare at its marvel for a long time, the first time we look at it.

Recently my sister explained me about a strange kind of art which gives us the same image even when we turn it upside down. It was not surprised until she mentioned that its not some junk drawing but art in the form of meaningful text.

Then I remembered it suddenly and googled for it, and thus discovered Ambigrams.

Internet was CRAP in 1996 !!

Here is a site which recently got digged for discovering backups of popular websites back in 1996 from the Internet Archive

They have page archives from websites of

Mc Donalds
Pepsi
New york times
Coca Cola
Nick
Lego

Everything dated 1996.

This is a truly awesome find and its both surprising and funny to look at the website designs at that time.
