Many times I have been searching for a site to send free sms to mobile phones. Long ago there were ways to send sms just using email ids. but now its all down, i guess its all due to spammers !!

Here are two sites from where you can send free sms to anywhere in india. but only 2 sms per day. If you need to send more, then connect through a public proxy and send, because they detect ur ip address and use it to stop sending more than 2 sms a day.

SMS Via Internet !!!

I had searched a lot for finding if there is a simple solution to send SMS to any mobile in India through Internet. Finally i got two nice solutions.

1. Go to www.aasma.com No Registration! just go and send. but only 3 SMS per day to any mobile in India.
2. Then download chikka messenger from india times.
   http://indiatimes.chikka.com
   Register and you will be sent a confirm code to your mobile and you are done after entering. It has something like a yahoo messenger where you can store contacts, chat online, send SMS etc. Here also there is a limit like 15 sms per day to any mobile in India.
